Learning Experiences

This is my first blog and I find that, after having spent years writing web pages, I really have a lot to learn. I have been using HTML, XHTML and CSS. However, I haven't used XML and it is a lot different. I do have a great mentor in Monica, and I really appreciate all her assistance.

I am learning to add widgets and gadgets in a different format that I have in the past. A blog layout appears to be more complicated than my easy web pages at Elizabeths Graphics which has been evolving over time.

My first web page was written using the online editor. Not being happy with the results I began to use Notepad which gave me absolute control writing pure HTML. I then wanted my personal web site, Shekinah, to be validated through W3C so I had to upgrade my site to the current version of HTML. After accomplishing that task, I learned that I might like to use XHTML. This is a major task as my web site is 100+ pages. However, I did get it accomplished. It is my experience that a web site is never really finished. It is a work in progress. This blog will be no different.
